Father Lawless has donated funds to help the unhoused, particularly for the Walk for Warmth program which raised nearly $40,000 for homelessness initiatives and united the community, bringing several hundred supporters out to walk the perimeter of Crescent Park on a cold evening in the dead of winter.

Father Lawless hosts suppers for clients of Canadian Mental Health Association – a nationwide organization that promotes mental health and supports people recovering from mental illness.
Development and Peace addresses the root causes of poverty, oppression, and inequality by working with partners in the Global South and by mobilizing Canadians in the common struggle for justice and dignity.
Chalice works in impoverished communities to help struggling families overcome the cycle of poverty. Education is the first and most important step in breaking the cycle.
